AÜSS ile Başvuran Erişkinlerde Prematür Ejakülasyon Birlikteliği

AMAÇ: Prematür ejakülasyon (PE) sık karşılaşılan cinsel fonksiyon bozukluklarından biridir. PE, kişi ve cinsel partneri için bir dizi problemlere neden olabilir. Çalışmamızda ileri yaşta da sık olarak görülen PE’nin alt üriner sistem semptomları (AÜSS) bileşenleri ile ilişkisini inceledik.

MATERYAL-METOD: Çalışmaya polikliniğimize AÜSS ile başvuran 48 hasta dahil edildi. Hastalarda PE varlığı, prostat volümü, t-psa değeri, IPSS skoru, total testosteron seviyesi, FSH seviyesi değerlendirildi. PE varlığı hastalara prematür ejakulasyon değerlendirme anketi (PEDT) uygulanarak belirlendi. PEDT skoru 11 ve üzeri olanlar PE olan grup olarak değerlendirildi. Hipertansiyon, tiroid hastalıkları ve psikiyatrik hastalıkları mevcut olanlar çalışma dışı bırakıldı.

SONUÇ: Hastaların yaş ortalaması 57.3 (49-67) idi. Bu hastaların 13’ünde (%27) PE mevcut idi. PE mevcut olan hastalarda ejakulasyon problemi olmayanlara göre IPSS skorları daha yüksek bulundu. Ortalama IPSS skoru PE olan grupta 21,4; PE olmayan grupta 16.8 olarak belirlendi (p<0,05). Total testosteron, prostat volümü, t-psa ve FSH değerleri açısından PE olan ve olmayanlarda anlamlı bir fark saptanmadı.

TARTIŞMA: Şiddetli AÜSS ile başvuran ve IPSS değerleri yüksek olan hastalarda PE birliktelği sorgulanmalıdır. Ayrıca erişkinlerde PE mevcut olan hastalarda AÜSS nedeniyle şikayetler daha şiddetli olmaktadır.

The Association Between Premature Ejaculation and LUTS in Adults

INTRODUCTION: Premature ejaculation (PE) is one of the most common sexual dysfunction. PE can cause some problems for the person and his sexual partner. In our study, we investigated the relationship between lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) components and PE which is seen in older, too.

Material-METHOD: 48 patients who presented to our clinic with LUTS were included the study. The presence of PE, prostate volume, t-PSA value, IPSS, total testosterone levels, FSH levels were evaluated in patients. PE is evaluated with premature ejaculation diagnostic tool (PEDT). The patients who have 11 and above PEDT score were determined as PE. The patients who have hypertension, thyroid disease, and psychiatric disease were excluded from the study.

RESULTS: The average age of the patients was 57.3 (49-67). PE was determined in 13 patients (27%). IPSS scores were significantly higher in patients who have PE than that patients who have no ejaculation problems. Average IPSS scores is 21.4 in PE group and It was determined that 16.8 Pno PE group (p <0.05). There is no significance different for prostate volume, total testosterone, T-PSA and FSH values between groups.

DISCUSSION: The presence of PE should be asked for the patients who presented with LUTS and high IPSS scores. Also, the complaint because of LUTS is more severe in patients who have PE.
